I have a 1997 Volvo 850 R sedan, and I am trying to figure out how to pull the engine codes for diagnostics of the vehicle. I know that it is OBDII compliant, so all I have to do is take it to a dealer or an autoparts store, but I would like to know myself where the plug is located for the OBDII reader. How do you pull the codes? Does all it take to pull the codes is a OBDII reader?|||Lift up the arm rest on the center console. Then remove the plastic plug that sits in front of the gear shift knob. The connector is under that plug.
