Will interior parts from the Volvo 240 fit into a Volvo 242?

I'm looking to replace the armrests and a few other interior parts on a 1979 Volvo 242 DL, and was wondering if the armrests and other parts from a newer Volvo 240 (1985-93, somewhere in that range) would fit. They look to be pretty much the same part, but wanted a second opinion before I hop on eBay and start buying. Thanks!|||Both cars are 240s. All 242 (two door car) parts will fit on your vehicle. Some 244 (four door) and 245 (wagon) parts will fit, but not all.|||Volvo used almost the same parts throughout the years in the 240 series, so yes, they should fit fine.|||Not to be obvious, but the later 240 is a 4-door, and your 242 is a 2-door. Some of the mounting points will be different. The parts themselves ARE quite similar but until you pop the door and have a look at the screw holes, etc. you won't know for sure.
